this is going to be about music

Recently I have been listening to a lot of great music! I've been getting pumped for the shows that I'm going to & the bands I'm gonna see! They're both at the beginning of the month so fuck yeah to starting my month off right!!!

Starting with SUMMER IS FOREVER II. This is gonna be WAVVES, Best Coast, & Cherry Glazerr wow what a great lineup am I right ladies??? 

Honestly WAVVES is such a great band they pump me up so much!!! Their lyrics are spunky and relatable & the beats that go along with them make for some really great songs. Some of my favorites would be Idiot, My Head Hurts, Sail to the Sun, Weed Demon, Mickey Mouse, Heart Attack. I've seen videos being retweeted by them on their twitter and man it looks so fun. One of them had Mickey Mouse playing in the background and them throwing little aliens into the crowd!!! So exciting!!!

I'm gonna move on to Cherry Glazerr because although I do love Best Coast, I'm just looking forward to listening to them play their old stuff. Not shaming California Nights because it is a good album, I just didn't really get that into it :)

These people are the same age as me?!?! What?!?!? Don't they just look so young & cute?!?! Hahaha, so anyways, most of the music they put it is very chill. Funny lyrics that describe teenager-dom perfectly to be quite honest. Sometimes the lyrics don't make sense but that's what is so great about it haha! Honestly dancing to their music is so fun & I can't wait to see them on Tuesday! Favorites by them would be Glenn the Dawg, Pizza Monster, Grilled Cheese, Cat Sitting in Room, & Trick or Treat Dancefloor. 

 On April 1 I'm going to go see The Frights & SWMRS! I've been listening to them since the summer of last year and had the hankering to go see them. I saw them in February at Uncool Fest & WOW was it such a fun show. They had a mixture of old songs & new songs from their latest album You Are Going To Hate This which I loved. Their new album has remakes of songs like Tungs & Puppy Knuckles which are good, but not my favorite, but when they played them live it was still the same energy as the original versions. Beach Porn was one of the most fun songs I have ever moshed to the positive energy flowing in the pit was so great. Favorites from this band C&C, Crust Bucket, Cold, Makeout Point, High School Girl. I'm so pumped to see them again!

 

This band I actually got to see TWICE in February, SWMRS!!!! Honestly the amount of love I have for this band, man. Insane how good their album is. They are a bay area punk rock band that really know how to put on a kick ass show! The boys of this band are not only cutie butts, but the passion they have for making music and performing is apparent. The amount of attention they have received for their new (& first record as this band) is AMAZING. They advocate being yourself and doing/being/wearing whatever the fuck you want and I love that! Favorites from this band would have to be...D'You Have a Car?, Turn Up, Ruining My Pretending, Harry Dean. 10/10 would reccomend!!

So, this isn't all the music that I've been listening to, but definitely the majority! I'm so happy that I was able to pay for these shows with the money I made from working highkeyyyyy. Hope ya enjoyed :)

i don't know, man...

It's been about a month or so since I've last posted on my blog and that makes me so sad!!!! Life is just so hectic for me right now. Okay maybe a slight exaggeration but honestly I haven't been able to manage my time as well now that I actually have shit to do. First of all, school. Second, I have a job now so yeah it's definitely been taking up a lot of my time!! After work I literally just go eat & chill because I have no energy to do anything afterwards :(. I work at a childcare center & work with 8 mos.-1 year olds & let me tell you, It's rough. At the end of the day I feel exhausted but so happy because it's a job I wanted since I moved on campus & I love working with these children!! Work is both the worst and best part of my day basically. Also, my classes this semester have been super cool & very informative I'm really enjoying it!! Here are some pics from the month of February :)

The weather in SF lately has been so amazing! On this day my friends & I decided to spend some times at the beach. I believe this is near Fort Funston. The water is still extremely cold to actually get in and get wet, but it's still nice to dip your feet in!

The first weekend in February I went to Uncool Fest in Berkeley! I stayed with my friend Sarrita at her cousins place and it was so fun!! I got to see Dinosaurs, Jakob Danger, No Parents, The Frights, & SWMRS. Honestly one of the best weekends the music was great i'd recommend to listen to all of these bands! I'm actually gonna see SWMRS & The Frights again in April with all of my SF fam so that's really exciting!!!! Both of those bands just released new records and they're both SOO GOOD!!! 

 Also, I made this banner with my mom over break and I really like how it turned out and how it looks in my room! S/O to my mom for teaching me how to use a sewing machine!

So, that's what I've been up to lately! Hopefully I'll be back to blogging not so sporadically :)
