movies are cool :) :) :)

As my title states, I think movies are cool. This year (2015) I really got into films and from May to August I felt like I watched a movie EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I know it seems like an exaggeration, and it might be, but whatever I really love watching films. A lot of times I find myself watching the films on the "Independent" or "Comedies" sections from Netflix, but really I watch different kinds especially if they are recommended to me. Honestly, I really love seeing how every film depicts a different idea being brought to life by different directors. Its like we get insight on the creativity of an individual and how differently people think. I compiled this list just because I'm genuinely curious to see if I remember exactly how many I did end up watching. So let's get started ^.^

let's wrap it up.

Heyyyyyoooooo lil nuggets! Now that we are only a couple days away from 2016 (whhhhhaaatttt?!) I decided I would share my thoughts on how things went this year and maybe squeeze in a tiny resolutions list!!
So, starting off, 2015 was such an odd year and i'll admit I wish I could go back and fix some things, but honestly all the trials and tribulations of this year made me realize a lot about myself. The most important thing I learned this year: I am surrounded by beautiful souls and people who truly do care about me. When I say "people" I mostly mean my family. As I have stated before on my blog, I recently started school. From April-July, I was anxiety filled and unsure of whether I would be able to attend SFSU or not. Financial Aid was a huge issue, and in the end I found out that a complication in the paperwork resulted in me not being able to receive any financial aid. I cried...a lot. Leaving home was something that was a goal of mine ever since I moved schools. The town I live in has nothing to offer me, and I know that if I would have stayed i'd be stuck, but, I did not want to put my family in an economical strain. In the end, both my parents and my stepparents made the selfless decision to help me out and allow me to make the 400+ mile move to San Francisco. I still cry every time I have to make a payment, and being broke is not fun, but I have everything I need and more. Not going to lie, September was tough being away from my family & not having met the cool group of noodle head friends that I now have, but it really all has fallen into place. Sure, money is the cause of most of my anxiety, but anxiety is something I have always had to deal with and I know it will never fully go away. However, leaving high school and leaving Santa Fe Springs has  allowed me to see more in myself & people. I feel happier and I feel more like myself. I finally get to do things I didn't get to, I get to dress how I want and express myself. I still have a lot to learn, but 2016 i'm comin' for ya.
As for my resolutions, all I want to do is focus more on the present and be content with how things are. I don't like the mentality of "next month, year, day, will be better!" because I want to be happy with how life *currently* is. Highkey I also want to be healthier & go all natural with my makeup and everyday products. Hey, maybe i'll even try veganism out one more time :)
Anyways, thanks for taking the time to read this, if I work hard enough i'll finally have a camera to post better quality photos sometime in 2016:)
Have a Happy New Year!!!!

the garden show (12/08/15)

My school hosted The Garden (+ some other bands) recently and it was honestly one of the best shows of my life!!!! I've known about them since last year, but only started actually listening to them over the summer. "Haha" is such a sick album and it always puts me in a good mood. I went with my usual group of friends so that just added to the fun time. As soon as they started playing, which they started their set off with "Crystal Clear", the mosh pit began and let me just say it was a pretty intense pit. I fell once and these really nice guys lifted me up as quickly as they could. Honestly, I just find it really awesome that the concept of moshing is to push people around and just act crazy and "angsty" (lol), but lots of people are still really considerate and they watch out for one another. There isn't always
people like that though, this one annoying person jumped into the crowd with a skateboard in his hand and hit me, my friends, and others -_____-.  Anyways, I know being pushed around in a crowd full of sweaty people doesn't sound appealing to some, but to me it always calls for a great time. The first time I was ever saw a pit was when I was 14, and I've always felt the same about them. I remember I wrote a wimpy "blog post" (if you can even really call it that") on tumblr saying that it was an adrenaline rush basically. I'm 18 now (almost 19) & I will mosh until the day I die, hahaha jk I'll probably stop when I get old and have responsibilities and such. I'm a live music junkie and going to shows is probably one of my favorite things to do. I touched Wyatt's hand and they both crowd surfed multiple times *swoons*. The Garden is a great band so definitely check them out!!! Thanks for reading lil nuggets!!!!
